Gargoyle finials

Gargoyle finials are said to ward off evil spirits and their symbolism and use in British architecture has a rich history. Gargoyles not only add detail and distinction to the roof they historically also served a useful purpose of draining water from the roof, often spouting the water out of their mouths. Their often grotesque and mythical appearance can add great character and a nice feature to period properties and new projects.
