Staffordshire blue colour match dragon installed on top of another ridge tile

This article shows an example of one of the dragon finials with a bespoke Staffordshire blue colour match installed on the roof in a different way - on top of existing half round ridge tiles

This is normally not recommended because of aesthetics but as you can see finials that are on a segmental ridge tile fitting can work and be installed just fine over half round ridge tiles. It comes down to personal taste and whether it is possible to remove the end ridge tiles but in this case the install looks fine and the customer can view a nice dragon on the roof from the front or from the side:

The colour match was based on the roof tiles and the ridge tiles are similar in colour but just a little bit darker. Overall the install works fine and the customer was absolutely deligthed with their dragon
